Aqualube Cutless Bearings

Aqualube rubber-sleeved, water-lubricated cutless bearings; brass shell sizes stocked for 1"-3" shafts, larger, metric and flanged or non-metallic types on request.

Description

Hale Propeller stocks the Aqualube range of rubber-sleeved cutless bearings for marine and industrial applications. The bearings use a tough, chemical- and oil-resistant nitrile rubber molded into various shell materials, giving resistance to abrasion and wear. The shape of the bearing strips forms a hydrodynamic water wedge between shaft and bearing even at very low shaft speeds: water enters through longitudinal grooves and forms a thin film so the shaft does not contact the bearing.

Key features

  • Water-lubricated design with longitudinal grooves
  • Chemical- and oil-resistant nitrile rubber
  • Rubber resilience absorbs shock, vibration and noise
  • Standard brass shell bearings with tolerances suited to American shaft and strut standards, stocked for 1" through 3" shafts
  • On request: sizes for shafting up to 10" diameter, metric sizes from 20 mm through 260 mm, and flanged, non-metallic shelled and spiral fluted bearings
