Thordon COMPAC and SXL Propeller Shaft Bearings for Fishing Vessels
Thordon water-lubricated propeller shaft bearing systems for fishing vessels: COMPAC for blue-water service with low start-up friction and no stick-slip, and SXL with low break-away torque and improved abrasion resistance.
Description
Thordon offers water-lubricated propeller shaft bearing systems for fishing vessels. The bearings can be combined with Thordon shaft coating, a water quality package and TG100 shaft seals.
Bearing grades
- COMPAC: high-performance water-lubricated bearing system mainly for "blue water" operating conditions. Its low coefficient of friction reduces start-up friction and eliminates stick-slip
- SXL: lower coefficient of friction than Thordon XL, which reduces break-away torque and gives smoother running at low shaft speeds. Also more resistant to third-particle abrasive wear, with longer wear life than XL
