Hale Propeller Inspection, Survey & Testing
Computer Propeller Analysis
3D propeller inspection on the Hale MRI: several thousand measurements per propeller in under 5 minutes, with printed reports and propeller-to-propeller comparison.
Description
Hale Propeller performs computerized three-dimensional propeller measurement and analysis on its own Hale MRI (Measurement Recording Instrument). A full analysis of several thousand measurements, taken at the 35%, 40%, 50%, 60%, 70%, 80%, 90% and 95% radii on each blade, can be completed in under 5 minutes. The software lays out each blade at multiple radii with several hundred interrogations per radius and the computed mean, showing in numeric and graphic form how much and where each blade is out of specification.
Key features
- Pitch, camber, rake, track and blade geometry at any point on any blade
- Point-to-point position, blade segment analysis and section plot graphs
- Comparison of one propeller to another (port to starboard, replacement to existing) or to factory design files
- Documents repair progress, with a printed report at completion
- Data exchange between Hale MRI units, so a cruising owner's propellers can be repaired to the same configuration away from home port
