About

OSO Hotwater traces its history to 1932, when Norway's first autogenous welded storage tank was produced at Oslo Svesiebedrift. In 1968 the company was the first in the world to produce stainless steel storage tanks, and in 1985 it introduced the TURBO system with plate heat exchanger. OSO Manufacturing AB in Sweden, established in 2014, has produced large stainless steel tanks with volumes up to 15 000 liters since 2018.

In June 2025 the OSO Group was acquired by LG Electronics and is part of its Eco Solution division. OSO Hotwater AS is certified to ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001; products are designed to EN 12897:2016 and EN 60335-2-21 and comply with the LVD, EMC and PED directives, with CSA, NEMKO, WRAS, AHRI and ETL labelling depending on model.
