Description
Chevron Marine's environmentally acceptable lubricants (EALs) are an alternative to traditional petroleum-based lubricants and are designed to meet the International Maritime Organization's regulatory requirements for EALs. They are typically made from renewable, biodegradable and non-toxic materials such as vegetable oils and synthetic esters, with additives for anti-wear, extreme pressure and corrosion protection. If they leak or spill, they are designed to break down naturally.
