FAST™ OnBoard marine lubricant analysis kit
Portable onboard test kit for lubricant, hydraulic, gear, compressor and fuel oil: water (200–10,000 ppm), BN up to 150, insolubles, viscosity and seawater contamination.
Description
The FAST OnBoard kit gives ship engineers a compact, portable and easy way to track oil condition across key equipment on board. By detecting changes in the chemical and physical properties of fuels and lubricants early, crews can act at once and plan maintenance without waiting for lab results. It works best when used alongside DOT.FAST.
Key features
- Water test cell with digital display, 200–10,000 ppm (0–10%)
- Base number of used oils up to 150 BN, measured in the same reaction cell
- Chromatography papers for insolubles (soot/carbon build-up)
- Viscostick comparator to spot fuel dilution, oxidation or emulsification
- Colour-change pad for sodium chloride (seawater) contamination
- Non-hazardous reagents; light, robust and supplied with a full manual
Applications
Onboard checks of lubricants, hydraulic, gear, compressor and fuel oils.
