HYDROX BIO sterntube lubricants

Model HYDROX BIO 68, 100, 150, 220

Emulsifiable biodegradable synthetic-ester sterntube oils (ISO 68-220) for sterntubes, stabiliser bearings and CPP hubs; VGP compliant, OEM approved.

Description

HYDROX BIO is a range of biodegradable sterntube lubricants based on synthetic esters, developed for sterntubes and bearings where water ingress may occur. The oil absorbs sea or fresh water entering the sterntube to form a fluid emulsion, reducing the risk of free water while continuing to lubricate and protect against corrosion. Launched in 2002, it was the world's first biodegradable sterntube lubricant.

  • Approved by OEMs including KEMEL, SKF Marine and Wärtsilä for up to 5 years with OEM elastomers recommended for EALs
