Description
HYDROX 550 is a mineral-based sterntube lubricant that lubricates in both neat and emulsion form. It absorbs sea or fresh water entering the sterntube to form a stable fluid emulsion, so free water is not released and lubrication and corrosion protection continue.

- Neat oil and emulsion with 20% water contamination tested by Class, performance verified by Lloyd's Register
- Compatible with lip seal elastomers; approved by the major lip and face stern seal manufacturers
- Typical viscosity 73 cSt at 40°C; viscosity index 100; density 0.88 kg/l; pour point below -25°C
