Description

The NEOX range covers high-viscosity emulsifiable sterntube lubricants and a soft grease.

NEOX 8000 absorbs sea or fresh water to form a stable viscous emulsion, reducing bearing wear if seawater enters, and often minimises leakage past a damaged or worn aft compression seal. It is recommended for compression or older face seals with non-circulatory oil feed, not for elastomer lip seals.

NEOX D is grease-like at ambient temperature and applied with a grease applicator; it is used with some compression seals and on trunnion bearings of some older Rolls Royce (Brown Brothers) retractable fin stabilisers.

NEOX DT has the consistency of a soft No. 2 grease and does not harden or crack excessively in cold, wet conditions.

Applications

Grease-lubricated sterntubes, CPP hubs needing grease packing, wire ropes and rigging, container lashings, hatch cover bearings and runners, deck winches and slipway rails.
