DOT.FAST® drip oil analysis
Onboard total iron measurement and onshore analysis of two-stroke cylinder drip oil, used to optimise cylinder oil feed rates, adjust BN and monitor engine wear.
Description
DOT.FAST is a test kit and analysis service for cylinder drip oil, the unburned cylinder oil that has passed through the main engine's combustion chamber, pistons and liners. The DOT.FAST analyzer measures total iron, which shows the total corrosive and abrasive wear taking place. Operators can then adjust cylinder oil BN or feed rate to keep the sulphur/BN balance as fuel quality changes.
