Optimarin Accessory Enhanced

Fresh Water Filling

Automated function that drains sea water from the BWTS filter and refills it with fresh water to stop organisms clogging the mesh.

Product page on Optimarin's site

Description

Fresh water filling is an automated process that drains the sea water inside the BWTS filter and refills it with fresh water from the ship's fresh water tanks. This prevents biological organisms from becoming trapped in the filter mesh, keeps the system's differential pressure at an optimal level and significantly reduces the need for manual cleaning.

Components

  • Electric ball valve for ventilation during draining and refilling
  • Fresh water supply valve controlling inflow from the ship's tanks
  • Pressure transmitter monitoring the fresh water supply line
  • Electric cabinet housing the connections for the valves and transmitter
