Remote Operation
Options to operate the Optimarin BWTS remotely via an OBS Touch Panel or Sub-Control Panel, or through the vessel IAS via Digital I/O, ProfiNet or OptiBus.
Description
Remote Operation lets operators run the Optimarin Ballast Water Treatment System from a location other than the installation position, with or without access to the vessel's integrated automation system (IAS).
Not connected to IAS
- OBS Touch Panel: full-function panel installed in an existing control desk; requires a CAT5E ethernet cable (maximum distance 100m) and 24VDC supply
- Sub-Control Panel: full-function panel in a dedicated cabinet; requires an ethernet cable and 400-440VAC supply
Connected to IAS
- Digital I/O (included): on/off signals with minimum functionality
- ProfiNet (included): Siemens communication on Ethernet, showing more detailed information such as flow, kW, pressure and temperature on the IAS screen
- OptiBus: the same information over an industrial bus protocol such as Profibus (standard) or ModBus, available upon request
