Optimarin Ballast Water Treatment System

Model Optimarin Protector, Optimarin Guardian

Filter and UV ballast water treatment system with IMO and USCG type approval, 50–3000 m³/h, for newbuilds and retrofits; chemical-free.

Description

The Optimarin Ballast Water Treatment System treats ballast water in two stages without chemicals. During ballasting, water passes through an automatic back-flushing, self-cleaning filter that removes larger organisms and particles, which are discharged overboard at the ballasting location. The water then flows through one or more UV chambers, where UV irradiation neutralizes remaining plankton, bacteria and viruses. Flow, pressure, temperature and UV intensity are monitored and shown on the control panel touch screen.
