Description
MCA performs FEA-based spectral fatigue analysis to assess the fatigue life of ship structure at global and local levels. The method has been applied to tankers and container ships.

- A spectrum of over 500 load cases covering wave height, wave heading, draft and non-linear waterline effects
- Measured or Class-defined weather data
- Loads derived from hull-form simulation in hydrodynamic software
- Full-ship models capture global loads, which are applied to local detail models

- Fatigue life predictions for as-built structure
- Fatigue life predictions for potential modifications
- Input to structural modification design and inspection planning
