ShipConstructor WorkShare Products
ShipConstructor modules for distributed teams, transferring work between hulls and sister ships, multi-site project merging and reuse of model portions and individual parts.
Description
WorkShare helps teams collaborate on shared ShipConstructor projects, transfer information between hulls and programs, and reuse completed work across vessel series. Stated benefits include faster report generation, faster BOM updates, faster production drawing updates, faster XREF loading and reduced load on the project server.
Key features
- WorkShare Teams – real-time access to a ShipConstructor project across multiple geo-locations, with improved performance compared to VPN or Remote Desktop.
- WorkShare Transfer – select items and transfer parts, production drawings, assembly information, systems and profile plots directly between projects; project synchronisation for change orders takes minutes without disconnecting users. Used as a sister-ship solution on complex ship classes.
- WorkShare Project – work on a single project model at multiple locations, merging distributed design back into one 3D project model.
- WorkShare Design – capture portions of a 3D model, including assembly sequences, production drawings and design intent, for reuse in another project.
- WorkShare Model – transfer individual parts across projects at a granular level of detail.
