About
Royal Van Beest was founded in 1922 by Dirk van Beest, a blacksmith in Sliedrecht, the home of the Dutch dredging industry, who produced components for the dredging and shipbuilding industry, starting with the shackles later branded Green Pin®. The company grew alongside the Dutch dredging and maritime industry and received the Royal title on its 100th anniversary.
Expansion followed through a sales office in Werl, Germany (1989), a Houston office and distribution centre (1998), the acquisition of Forges de l'Eminée (2007), a Chicago distribution centre (2016), the acquisitions of Load Solutions, Irizar Forge and Heuer Hebetechnik (2017) and of Enduro Softslings (2025). Still family-owned, the group employs 250 people, has production sites in the Netherlands, France, Spain and Germany, and is certified to ISO 9001:2015.
