FarSounder has worked on 3D Forward Looking Sonar technology since 2001. Its commercial grade products are designed and manufactured in the USA and have been fielded worldwide since 2005.
Beyond navigation and obstacle avoidance, the company's work has expanded into shipboard and portside security, marine mammal protection, fisheries and ocean sustainability, and real-time mapping. FarSounder systems have been installed at shipyards including Lürssen, Feadship, Oceanco, Fincantieri, Damen and Vard, and are supported by a network of 80+ dealers in 35+ countries.
