Description
The Argos 1000 is FarSounder's longest-range 3D forward looking sonar, for vessels from 40+ meters (150+ feet), designed and manufactured in the USA. It detects objects in the water column up to 1000 meters ahead, with a field of view of 120° up to 200 m, 90° up to 500 m and 60° up to 1000 m, at operational speeds up to 25 knots.

- Marine grade urethane array face; stainless steel housing
- Underwater wet mateable connector for diver installation and removal while afloat
- Fixed installation with eight mounting bolts to a hull fairing on steel, aluminum or composite hulls, for new builds or refits
- Hoist mount option for icebreakers: an off-the-shelf system from partner C4R houses the transducer in a retractable steel pod whose reinforced cover-plate sits flush with the hull during ice-breaking
- 3D display with True Target Motion™, S57/S63 chart overlay and Local History Mapping™
Applications
