Description
The Argos 350 is FarSounder's 3D forward looking sonar for mid-sized vessels of 18 - 40+ meters (60 - 130+ feet). Using phased array technology, it builds a real-time 3D image of the water column and seafloor ahead with a single ping, detecting obstacles up to 350 meters ahead with a 90° field of view at operational speeds up to 18 knots.
Key features
- Marine grade urethane array face with integrated steel frame for impact protection; stainless steel housing
- Underwater wet mateable connector, allowing diver installation and removal while afloat
- Fixed installation with four mounting bolts to a hull fairing on steel, aluminum or composite hulls, for new builds or refits
- Hoist option with top mounted connector, fitting a 10 inch diameter sea chest; the cover-plate can sit flush when retracted, and an off-the-shelf hoist is available from partner C4R
- 3D display with True Target Motion™, S57/S63 chart overlay and Local History Mapping™
