Remote Metrology
Metrology run from onshore with only equipment mobilized offshore.
Description
Zupt's remote metrology service uses C-PINS to collect survey data in real time from onshore, with equipment interfacing handled by the offshore ROV team. Zupt began offshore trials of remote C-PINS metrology in 2017.

- Only the equipment is mobilized offshore
- Onshore survey team acquires data as if in the ROV control room
- ROV team follows a detailed task plan and stays in constant communication with the onshore team
- ROV video, serial data over Ethernet, and voice or phone communications are checked with Houston
