Kelvion service for charge air coolers on marine, off-road and stationary diesel and gas engines: mechanical and chemical cleaning, refurbishment, recoating, retubing, condition analysis, spare parts and upgrades.
Description
Kelvion's charge air cooler service maintains CACs on marine, off-road and stationary diesel and gas engines. Over time, pollutants cause corrosion and deposits in the tubes, leading to pressure loss that can damage the turbocharger and cylinders and cause water leakage; regular servicing extends cooler life and prevents engine downtime.
Service scope
- Mechanical cleaning – tube side (at factory or on site) and housing side (at factory), using high-pressure or brush cleaning
- Chemical cleaning – acidic, alkaline or neutral agents circulated to dissolve deposits, scaling and corrosion products
- Refurbishment programme – components checked against new-equipment standards for reuse
- Recoating – protective coatings against corrosion and chemical or biological attack
- Retubing – replacing tubes to OEM specifications without replacing the complete bundle
- Condition analysis – leak tests, fin- and tube-side assessment, optional water testing and endoscopic inspection
- Spare parts, upgrades and replacements
- Leak detection and reverse engineering
