South Bay Cable builds ROV cables to suit each vehicle and mission. Fiber-equipped designs carry fibers in a stainless steel tube. Published design examples:

- SB-36278: 15 AWG No. 14 power conductors, 2 shielded quads and 2 RG-59 type coax, Kevlar strength member, PU jackets; 1.15 in OD, 765 lbs/1,000 ft in air
- SB-39063: 3 fibers in SS tube, 75 ohm coax, shielded quads, 15 power conductors, Kevlar braid and TPE jacket; 1.78 in OD, 27 lbs/1,000 ft in sea water
- SB-45709 / SB-36670: 6 single-mode fibers, 17 AWG No. 11 power conductors, two layers of GIPS steel wire armor; 1.68 in OD, 3,330 lbs/1,000 ft in air
