Physical firewall/router separating Høglund automation systems from ship networks and the internet, allowing only cloud data upload, data export and push-button TeamViewer remote access with 2FA.
Description
Høglund cSafe is a physical firewall/router that separates Høglund automation deliveries from the internet and the vessel's network, protecting the automation system from cyber attacks while allowing secure remote access by Høglund engineers. It works together with a cloud-based TeamViewer solution and the Windows firewall on all Høglund operator stations.
Traffic control
The firewall blocks all incoming and outgoing traffic except:
- Outgoing data to the Høglund cloud server
- Outgoing data to vessel computers for data export
- TeamViewer remote-access traffic, enabled by a pushbutton in the ECR
Secure remote connection
- Technicians log in to the TeamViewer cloud with username and two-factor authentication (time-based one-time password with 30-second life span via Google Authenticator)
- Only computers approved in the TeamViewer cloud can connect; logins from unknown computers are denied
