HECSALV

Salvage and emergency response software for damaged, grounded and distressed vessels, used by naval architects, salvage engineers, ship owners, class societies and military organizations.

Description

HECSALV is salvage and emergency response software. Starting from the last known departure condition, users collect and process available data, define the extreme bounds of the problem and evaluate multiple remedial scenarios; the whole analysis updates automatically from initial assumptions through to later-stage pump allocations to produce a refined salvage plan. It applies to floating structures of any type, size or operation, from the largest FLNGs to the smallest fishing vessels.

Key features

  • Intact and free-floating damage stability; longitudinal strength and stress analysis with damaged or corroded structure
  • Lightering plans, oil outflow analysis, fire water loading and tide cycle analysis
  • Multiple grounding types (pinnacles, shelves) with a grounding definition wizard
  • Rendered 3D graphics, observed draft tools, integrated ullage/sounding tools, customizable alarms and criteria
  • Macro language for custom calculations

Supporting applications

Ship Project Editor, Section Modulus Editor and Tow (tow planning). Related products include CargoMax and SMP, an interface to the US Navy's Ship Motions Program.
