Alfa Laval fluidic air lubrication (OceanGlide) reduces hull friction with an even air layer over the flat bottom, generated by fluidic oscillators with few compressors, cutting propulsion power and fuel use.
Description
Fluidic air lubrication from Alfa Laval (OceanGlide) reduces friction between the hull and surrounding water with an injected air layer, lowering propulsion power, fuel consumption, CO2 emissions and marine and onboard noise. Fluidics – controlling fluid pressure and flow through precisely shaped channels without moving parts – makes the system practical for both new and existing vessels.
