Hydraulically powered, non-steering podded propulsion thruster for main propulsion, 35 HP (26 kW) to 1,000 HP (746 kW), in steel or aluminium, replacing conventional shaft lines and stern tubes.
Description
The Thrustmaster Hydradrive is a hydraulically powered, directly mounted, non-steering propulsion thruster for main propulsion. A hydraulic motor inside a fabricated steel housing directly drives the propeller shaft; the sealed, self-contained assembly needs no routine maintenance.

- Fully proportional forward/reverse speed control with the engine at constant speed
- Bi-directional variable-speed motor; full reversal at full speed and torque in under 5 seconds
- Propeller shaft on large oil-lubricated taper roller bearings
- Pressure limiters and cross reliefs protect the transmission; propeller can be stalled without damage
- Replaces shaft lines and stern tubes; engine can be anywhere (even on deck), and one engine can power several pods
- Open-wheel propeller, with optional nozzle increasing slow-speed forward thrust by an average of 30%
- Steel or aluminium to match the hull; welded or bolted
