Thrustmaster of Texas Equipment Enhanced
Thrustmaster T-Pod Electric Podded Thruster
Electric podded thruster with integrated high-speed permanent magnet motor and dry pod housing, 90 kW to 2,500 kW, open or nozzled propeller, with 360° continuous steering under full load.
Description
The Thrustmaster T-Pod is an electric podded thruster with a high-speed permanent magnet motor integrated in the pod, eliminating the 90-degree bevel gears, shafts and bearings of conventional Z-drives.
Key features
- Integrated permanent magnet motor: low weight, high efficiency, compact
- Dry pod housing – no gear oil, no risk of oil leakage to the environment
- No spiral bevel gears: higher efficiency, quieter operation, less vibration, weight and maintenance
- Double sealing arrangement with high-integrity mechanical seal and leak detection
- Long flexible propeller shaft absorbs propeller shock loads
- Full 360° non-stepping continuous steering under full load
- Good braking and speed-reducing characteristics; push and pull configurations
- Easy installation with no alignment required
Technical data
- Power range: 90 kW to 2,500 kW
- Open propeller or nozzle
Configurations
- Thru-hull top or bottom mount
- Thru-hull retractable
- Outboard
- Tunnel thruster
- Swing-up
- Azimuthing or fixed, with or without nozzle
