Description
Hybrid propulsion uses electric motors to complement diesel or turbine main propulsion. TECO-Westinghouse also offers a green hybrid system, a complete package that combines a propulsion shaft-riding induction generator/motor with a battery pack.
The green hybrid system is intended to provide efficiency and low emissions when the vessel operates in harbors, and it can operate on batteries.
