REINTJES RHS Hybrid System
REINTJES RHS hybrid propulsion package (60–630 kWe): gearbox, integrated electric motor/generator, frequency converter and coupling, with PTI, PTO, Boost and Diesel modes for FPP vessels.
Description
The REINTJES RHS Hybrid System is a complete hybrid propulsion package of 60–630 kWe for fixed-pitch propeller vessels, based on WAF/LAF 344–573 HS and WVS gearboxes. It enables silent low-speed running, shaft generation and emission-free maneuvering. Supplied by Karl Senner.

Operating modes
- PTI – electric motor only, for cruising, maneuvering and reversing with the diesel engine stopped
- PTO – diesel engine drives propeller while the motor works as a shaft generator feeding the ship's grid or batteries
- Boost – electric motor and diesel engine combined for higher speed and thrust
- Diesel – diesel engine only
