Naval & Governmental REINTJES Gearboxes

REINTJES naval and government gearboxes (250–30,000 kW), supplied by Karl Senner, are shock-rated, robust designs for the Army, Army Corps of Engineers, Department of Transportation and other government agencies.

Key features

• Shock-rated execution, resilient mounting, watertight sealing and degaussing to reduce acoustic and magnetic signatures
• Supervision and approval by all major IACS classification societies; documentation to IETM standards
• Built-in hydraulic disc clutches with adapted-pressure engagement and full power in both directions of rotation
• Steel, cast-iron or aluminium housings, double-helical toothing, PTO/PTI, turn drive and shaft locking available

Gearbox types

• WVS – reverse-reduction gearbox, horizontally offset, for fast vessels
• SVAL – slide-bearing reduction gearbox with disc clutch, for CPP, horizontally offset
• WAF/LAF – reverse-reduction gearbox, vertically offset, flange version
• DLG – twin-input/single-output reduction gearbox with disc clutch, equal input shaft heights
• Custom – standardized shafts in custom housings with special ratios, offsets and shock ratings

Options

• Turn drive for rotating the propeller shaft with the main engine stopped (control panel or remote control)
• Oil pre-heater (heats oil to >25 °C; manual or automatic)
• Local Operating Panel (LOP) with TFT display: clutch and electric oil pump control, alarm and parameter monitoring, turn drive, shaft lock and pre-heater operation
• Spring-loaded shaft locking device
