About
B Hepworth & Co Ltd traces its origins to the late 19th century. The Wynn brand stems from Wynstruments, founded in 1950 by E.D. Wynn; in 1958 it designed a straight-line window wiper for the Royal Navy, leading to the Type 76 wiper, and its first commercial sales went to British Rail Cross-Channel Ferries. Hepworth acquired Wynstruments of Cheltenham and combined Wynn and Hepworth wiper manufacturing in Redditch, and acquired Monitor Marine in 2015.
The group operates from more than 90,000 sq ft of facilities with CNC machining and an in-house powder coat plant. Products are tested on an in-house salt-water rig with 3,000-hour continuous cycles (over 18 million wipes). Approvals include ISO 9001, IRIS, DNV, ABS, EN 15085 and MIL-spec.
