CAT Coastal Acoustic Transponder
Coastal acoustic transponder for underwater instrument location and positioning.
Description
Underwater instrument location and positioning aid for coastal deployments, including recovery systems on oceanographic moorings and platforms. Uses the Binary Acoustic Command System (BACS) code structure with factory-programmed unique commands; transponder function can be enabled or disabled, and replies indicate tilt status.
