About
The company traces its early activity to 1880, when it ran a ferry service across the Mississippi River; the oars in its logo recall those origins. In 1946 Captain Edwin Napoleon Bisso and his son Joseph August Bisso II formed E.N. Bisso & Son with six tugboats and two heavy-lift derricks.
It is owned by fifth-generation descendants of Captain Joseph Bisso. The February 2024 acquisition of Seabulk Towing, Inc. extended its coverage to additional Florida and Alabama ports.
