Transom-Mounted Hydraulic Azimuth Thruster
Hydraulic azimuth thrusters welded to the transom or sides of vessels, barges or platforms, with deck- or engine-room-mounted power unit; OD and Workmaster models from 0–50 HP up to 2,000 HP.
Description
The Thrustmaster Transom-Mounted Hydraulic Azimuth Thruster suits applications with sufficient freeboard. Units are welded to the transom or sides of vessels, barges or platforms and tolerate frequent immersion from wave action. The engine and hydraulic power unit can be installed on deck or in an engine room at any convenient location, and a single engine can power multiple thrusters.
Configurations
- OD series: models OD35 (0–50 HP) to OD2000 (1,800–2,000 HP)
- Workmaster: models WM35 (0–50 HP) to WM1000 (900–1,100 HP); recommended for general propulsion. Over-center hydrostatic drive runs the propeller equally in forward and reverse, giving thrust in any direction; hydraulic actuator steering; simpler and less expensive than the Thrustmaster version
