Tank Level Gauging System (TLGS)
Ballast tank level gauging system with a hand held terminal, available in pneumatic, electro-pneumatic and electric types.
Description
The Tank Level Gauging System (TLGS) uses a Hand Held Terminal (HHT) so the crew can calibrate the water level on deck. It is designed for compatibility with the Techcross BWMS. A capacitive ceramic sensor is used for reliability and corrosion resistance, and the signal can be monitored through the Techcross IBTV platform.
Key features
- PNL (pure pneumatic): air is injected into a pipe in the tank and the pressure corresponding to liquid level is read on a pneumatic indicator
- ENL (electro pneumatic): as PNL, with the pressure converted to a 4~20 mA electrical signal via a PI converter
- EPL (electric pressure): a transducer in or on the side of the tank converts pressure to a 4~20 mA signal via a transmitter
Applications
Ballast tank level measurement on vessels fitted with Techcross ballast water management systems.
