FerryCHARGER automatic charging systems for electric ferries using a charging pantograph that connects to the on-board unit within seconds of docking, compensating tidal range and ferry movement.
Description
FerryCHARGER is Stemmann-Technik's range of charging solutions for battery-electric ferries.
How it works
- The charging station is activated by the on-board control system as the ferry docks
- When the ferry reaches its docking position, the charging pantograph connects to the on-board unit within a few seconds and battery charging begins
- The system compensates for tidal range and ferry movement
Key features
- Tower solution with a closed design that protects components from external influences
- Fits into the mooring area; rolling gates on the pantograph tower (land side) and housing (ship side) open automatically on approach
