Integrated Membrane System (IMS) Freshwater Generators
Self-contained automatic systems combining hollow fibre microfiltration and reverse osmosis for shipboard water production from almost any source.
Description
Pall IMS freshwater generators combine 0.1 micron hollow fibre PVDF microfiltration membranes with reverse osmosis desalination membranes in a fully automatic, self-contained package. They allow ships to make water in littoral waters, estuaries, rivers and harbours, where high suspended solids often deter operators from producing water.
Key features
- Microfiltration (MF) with 0.1 micron pore size ahead of RO desalination
- RO salt reduction in excess of 98.5 %
- No replaceable cartridge filters needed
- Fully automatic operation
- Cited benefits: enhanced shipboard capability, availability of fresh drinking water and lower through-life cost of ownership
Applications
Cruise ships, commercial vessels and military vessels.
