Nauticast A2 Class A AIS Transponder

The Nauticast A2 is a Class A Automatic Identification System (AIS) transponder. It continuously sends and receives standardized AIS messages carrying ship identity and navigation data on VHF channels 87B (161,975 MHz) and 88B (162,025 MHz), so vessels can identify each other and track positions beyond visual range, at night, in poor weather or in radar blind spots.

• Class A AIS for SOLAS vessels
• Supports both SOLAS AIS and Inland AIS and is certified to both standards
• Operating mode is software-controlled and can be switched during operation
• Meets the bridge alert management requirements of IEC 62923-1, externally certified to that standard
• Successor to the earlier Nauticast AIS model; a BNC-to-N adapter (p/n 1001053) is available for the VHF upgrade
