Control Units
Rod-and-plate control units that add rigidity to rubber expansion joints and limit their movement.
Description
Control units provide additional support to rubber expansion joints by adding rigidity and strength when proper anchoring is not available. They are also used to restrict the movement allowances of an expansion joint, and are recommended where excessive stress and motion might over-stress the joint. The number of control rods installed is dictated by the pressure requirements of the system and can give greater control over lateral movements.
