Load Moment Control
Automatically compensates crane-induced heeling moments during offshore and heavy lift operations.
Description
Load Moment Control continuously calculates the counteracting ballast moment needed to keep a predefined floating condition, following the "ballast follows the crane" principle.
Key features
- Compensates load moments from crane load, slewing and booming
- Adjusts to changing load conditions
- Works through the vessel's ballast system to hold the predefined floating condition
Applications
Offshore and heavy lift operations with crane-induced heeling moments.
