rigMaster CF 4000 Classifying Decanter (Barite Recovery)
Ecoforce-generation classifying decanter installed upstream of the separating decanter to recover barite from drilling mud on board.
Description
To recover the heavy mineral barite (barium sulphate) from drilling mud so it can be reused, GEA installs a special classifying decanter upstream of the separating decanter in its drill deck drainage systems. The classifying decanter removes only very heavy solids. GEA uses the rigMaster CF 4000 from its ecoforce decanter generation for this task.
Key features
- Separates barite, minimum specific density 4.20 g/cm3
- Stated advantages: robust operation, maximum availability, high throughput capacity, separating efficiency and low energy consumption
- Barite separation in use by several drilling companies
Applications
- Drilling mud treatment and barite reuse on drilling vessels and platforms
