About
The Nikkiso lineage dates to 1953, when Special Pump Co. Ltd. was founded in Japan. In the early 1970s Nikkiso equipped entire fleets of LNG carriers with cryogenic equipment. The group acquired the LNG cryogenic pump business of Atlas Copco in 2015 and Cryogenic Industries Group in 2017, and in 2019 all legacy brands were consolidated under the Nikkiso CE&IG name.
The group employs more than 1,800 people in more than 20 countries and is headed by Nikkiso Clean Energy & Industrial Gases Group Holdings, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Nikkiso Co., Ltd. In September 2025 it completed an expansion of its fabrication facility in Wurzen, Germany, doubling manufacturing capacity in Europe. Its facilities hold ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001 certifications.
