About
The company traces its history to 31 July 1915, when Watze Hilarius started a business in Haarlem producing wire nails and roof slates. Hilarius Haarlem Holland gradually turned its focus to welding, and by the 1930s was exporting across Europe, to South America and to Indonesia.
In 2015, its 100th anniversary year, the company was granted the title of Purveyor to the Royal Household of the Netherlands. Its welding consumables carry approvals from Lloyd's Register, DNV, ABS, Bureau Veritas and TÜV, its Hildiscs are made to ISO 9001 and EN 12413 with the oSa mark, products meet applicable CE requirements, and the company holds AEO status. It describes itself as independent, with no shareholders imposing volume targets.
