Outboard Maintenance Certificates (Yamaha Marine partnership)
Portable, midrange, inline and V-engine outboard maintenance certificates offered through a partnership with Yamaha Marine.
Description
Through a partnership with Yamaha Marine, College of the Florida Keys students gain hands-on, industry-specific outboard expertise, often before completing their associate degree or certificate program. The Marine Engineering, Management, and Seamanship department lists four outboard maintenance certificate courses.

- MTE 1045C - Midrange Outboard Maintenance Certificate
- MTE 1046C - Inline Outboard Maintenance Certificate
- MTE 1047C - V-engine Outboard Maintenance Certificate
Accreditation
The department also notes the Marine Trades Accreditation Program (MTAP) offered by the ABYC Foundation, which recognizes quality marine service technology programs.
