Volvo Penta folding Nibral propellers for sailboat saildrive and shaft installations, available in 2, 3 and 4 blades.
Description
Volvo Penta folding propellers for sailboats combine the low drag of a folding propeller under sail with reverse thrust and speed comparable to fixed propellers when the engine is used. A conical toothed section holds the blades in the correct position.
Key features
- Manufactured from a nickel-aluminium-bronze (Nibral) alloy for corrosion resistance
- Hub bushing that absorbs shock during quick shifts
- Available in 2, 3 and 4 blades, right-hand and left-hand rotation, for both S-drive and shaft installations
- Stated sailing speed increase of up to 1.5 knots due to low drag, and up to 8 times lower drag compared to a 3-blade fixed propeller
- Complete propellers are assembled from one blade kit and one hub kit
