General Dynamics Mission Systems System / Package Enhanced
Submarine Weapon Simulators & Trainers (MTWS, MIT)
Multi-Tube Weapon Simulator for torpedo-tube launched weapons and Multipurpose Interactive Trainer for submarine sonar, fire control, navigation and EW training.
Description
General Dynamics Mission Systems supplies simulation and training systems for U.S. and allied submarine crews and combat system testing.
Key features
- Multi-Tube Weapon Simulator (MTWS): emulates weapon behavior during the pre-launch, launch and post-launch phases of torpedo-tube launched weapons; supports high-fidelity combat system testing and troubleshooting as well as realistic crew training
- Multipurpose Interactive Trainer (MIT): classroom-based Navy modernization training for submarine sonar, fire control, navigation, imaging and electronic warfare operations
- MIT uses the Secure Training and Tactics Unified Schoolhouse (STRATUS), an accredited secure unified network and cloud environment that interconnects MIT classrooms at Navy schoolhouses across the country for remote deployment, test and troubleshooting
Applications
Submarine crew training and combat system test for U.S. and allied navies.
