Auramarine Ammonia Fuel Supply System

The Auramarine ammonia fuel supply system delivers ammonia safely from bunkering to onboard fuel consumers. It suits both two-stroke and four-stroke engines as well as other consumers, with dedicated designs for high- and low-pressure arrangements. Scope is tailored to each project and follows all applicable safety, design and material requirements.

Full system scope

• Bunkering station with leak detection, water safety system and ship-to-shore link
• Tank design for the tank connection space (TCS) of C-type tanks
• Ammonia fuel supply unit: regulates fuel pressure and temperature, measures consumption, filters impurities from liquid ammonia
• Master fuel valve manifold with double block-and-bleed for isolating and nitrogen purging of consumers
• Nitrogen generator for purging and inerting
• Vapour and gas separators
• Ammonia reliquefying unit for boil-off gas from storage tanks and other vapour sources
• Ammonia release mitigation system (ARMS) with controlled combustion and ammonia content measurement
• Ammonia gas detection; ammonia fire detectors optional
• Automation system: control of fuel supply unit and valve manifold, automatic purging of block-and-bleed valves, ESD functions
• Pilot fuel supply and backup system for the ship's first fuel (e.g. biodiesel)
