About
The Center for Marine Training and Safety is operated by the Texas A&M Engineering Extension Service (TEEX), a member of the Texas A&M University System. Students have come to CMTS for marine training for the past 25 years.
The Galveston facility includes a 14 vessel fleet, a 10,000 sq. ft. classroom building, a maintenance shop, an offshore launch/recovery lifeboat davit, a fast rescue boat (FRB) launch/recovery davit and an oil spill response trailer.
