About
Sécheron SA is based in Satigny near Geneva, Switzerland, and is one of the two founding companies of Sécheron Hasler Group, a supplier of electrical and electronic safety components and traction power systems for the railway industry that also serves renewable energy, DC grid, marine and other high-power industrial applications.
The company traces its origin to 1879, when Alfred de Meuron set up a small workshop for electrical appliances in the Sécheron area of Geneva under the name Société Anonyme des Ateliers de Sécheron. In 1969 it was taken over by Brown Boveri and became BBC-Sécheron.
Today the group is independent and privately owned by Swiss entrepreneurs, has more than 1 300 employees worldwide and works through sales offices and service centres in many countries.
