About
Commercial fishermen established the North Carolina Fisheries Association in 1952. More than six decades later, the association still describes North Carolina's fishing industry as one that begins and ends with families, from those who harvest seafood to those who enjoy it.
A staff led by Executive Director Glenn Skinner runs the association. Its Board of Directors represents the state's coastal areas, gear types, targeted species and commodity groups, as well as local fishermen's associations and charter/for-hire interests. NCFA elects its board members and officers annually.
